Chhattisgarh’s Development Initiatives Praised, Other States Advised to Emulate

New Delhi, 28 July 2024- Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai discussed major schemes of the state in detail, shared the feedback of the common people towards governance, and political developments in the state as he attended the BJP chief ministers’ conclave held at BJP headquarters for the second consecutive day. He also elaborated on the techniques and strategies adopted by Chhattisgarh.

BJP President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states attended the meeting under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Highlighting the success of Chhattisgarh’s development schemes, the Chief Minister said that the state government has taken several initiatives for women, youth, tribals, farmers, and in the direction of eradicating Naxalism. These initiatives have made Chhattisgarh a model state in effectively implementing the schemes and programs of governance.

The Chief Minister made a special mention of the effectiveness of Chhattisgarh’s strategies. He said that the state has ensured the participation of local residents in rural and tribal areas, which has increased the success of the schemes and has also increased the confidence of local people in governance.

The schemes of Chhattisgarh received appreciation at the meeting and other BJP-ruled states were asked to emulate the strategies and techniques of Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister said that the state government took various measures to increase the reach of its schemes to each and every village and household through various mediums, in which the publicity system played an important role. Chhattisgarh was praised for giving information about this effective model.

The Chief Minister said that many tough decisions were taken to make the functioning and schemes of the departments transparent, including decisions related to combating Naxalism, corruption-free departmental functioning, coal transportation, purchase of liquor and examinations conducted through PSC.

Chief Minister Sai gave information about the important Mahtari Vandan Yojana of the state, under which financial assistance is being provided to more than 70 lakh women of the state. Through this scheme, poor women are given assistance of Rs 12,000 per year, which fulfills their small needs.

Giving information about the Niyyad Nella Nar (Your Good Village) scheme running in Maoist-affected areas, he said that the objective of this scheme is to bring development and stability in Maoist-affected areas. Under this, 5 villages around the newly established camps have been linked to 53 welfare schemes of 17 departments of the state, due to which basic resources are being provided in these villages.

The Chief Minister also presented the progress report of central schemes in the meeting. He informed that Chhattisgarh has achieved 100% target under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which has improved health facilities in the rural and remote areas of the state.

The Chief Minister gave information about the plantation of 1 crore 51 lakh saplings under the flagship program ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’. Apart from this, he also presented the progress report of PM Vishwakarma, PM Swanidhi, Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana, PM Suryaghar Yojana, Amrit Sarovar, Arogya and employment fairs.
