Renowned Fashion Designer Rohit Bal Passes Away Amid Diwali Festivities

New Delhi: Amid the Diwali celebrations, the fashion and Bollywood world has been struck by a deep loss. Celebrated Indian fashion designer Rohit Bal has passed away after a prolonged illness. The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) shared the news of his demise on social media. Reports indicate that Rohit Bal had been battling a heart condition for some time and was admitted to the ICU.

Rohit Bal had taken a break from work recently to focus on his health. Last year, however, after showing signs of recovery, he made a comeback and showcased his final collection at Lakme India Fashion Week. Bollywood actress Ananya Panday starred as the showstopper in his last show, where fans noticed Rohit Bal looking visibly frail, sparking concern among his admirers.

Rohit Bal began his career by founding Orchid Overseas Private Limited with his brother. In 1990, he launched his first independent collection, gaining widespread acclaim. Few people know that Rohit Bal also designed costumes for Amitabh Bachchan’s show “Kaun Banega Crorepati.”
